Radical Reset Retreat Terms & Conditions
Raising Vibrations Ltd (trading as The Sound Shift)
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings for the Radical Reset Retreat to Costa Rica operated by Raising Vibrations Ltd trading as The Sound Shift (“The Sound Shift”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking a place on the retreat, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Booking and Deposit
1.1
A deposit of £400 per person is required to secure your place on the retreat.
1.2
The deposit is non-refundable and covers administration costs, reservation commitments, and advance payments made to retreat venues, suppliers, and service providers.
1.3
Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received and confirmation has been issued by The Sound Shift.
2. Payment Schedule
2.1
The total retreat price is £1,950 per person unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.2
The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 1 February 2027 unless an alternative payment plan has been agreed in writing.
2.3
If full payment is not received by the due date, The Sound Shift reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.
2.4
All payments made are non-transferable except at the sole discretion of The Sound Shift.
3. Payment Methods
3.1
Payments may be made by bank transfer, debit card, credit card, or any other payment method specified by The Sound Shift.
3.2
Payment details are available on the website or upon request by email.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
4.1
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to hello@thesoundshift.co.
4.2
The £400 deposit is non-refundable.
4.3
If you cancel more than 90 days before the retreat start date, you will receive a refund of monies paid excluding the non-refundable deposit.
4.4
If you cancel fewer than 90 days before the retreat start date, no refund will normally be issued.
4.5
If The Sound Shift is able to fill your place with another paying participant, we may, at our sole discretion, issue a partial refund excluding:
the non-refundable deposit; and
any unrecoverable costs, transaction fees, or administrative expenses incurred.
4.6
No refund will be issued until the replacement participant has paid in full.
4.7
No refunds will be given for failure to attend, late arrival, voluntary early departure, or unused portions of the retreat.
5. Travel Insurance
5.1
Participants are responsible for obtaining comprehensive travel insurance covering, at minimum:
trip cancellation;
medical treatment and emergency evacuation;
personal accident;
loss or theft of belongings; and
travel disruption.
5.2
The Sound Shift strongly recommends that travel insurance is purchased immediately following booking.
6. Health and Safety
6.1
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and mentally fit to participate in retreat activities.
6.2
Any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, accessibility requirements, or dietary requirements must be disclosed at the time of booking or as soon as reasonably possible.
6.3
The Sound Shift reserves the right to refuse participation in any activity if it reasonably believes participation may pose a risk to the participant or others.
6.4
Participants remain responsible for their own health, wellbeing, and personal decisions throughout the retreat.
7. Liability
7.1
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
7.2
Subject to clause 7.1, The Sound Shift shall not be liable for:
any indirect or consequential loss;
loss of enjoyment;
loss of personal belongings;
missed flights or transport connections; or
any injury, illness, delay, cancellation, or disruption caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
7.3
The Sound Shift accepts no responsibility for the acts or omissions of third-party providers including airlines, transport operators, accommodation providers, or excursion operators.
7.4
Participants are responsible for safeguarding their own possessions during the retreat.
8. Force Majeure
8.1
The Sound Shift shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
natural disasters;
severe weather;
epidemic or pandemic;
government restrictions;
war or threat of war;
terrorism;
civil unrest;
strikes or industrial disputes;
transport disruption; or
venue closure.
8.2
In such circumstances, The Sound Shift reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the retreat itinerary, accommodation, schedule, or inclusions.
9. Code of Conduct
9.1
Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward other participants, staff, retreat facilitators, and property owners.
9.2
The Sound Shift reserves the right to remove any participant from the retreat, without refund, whose behaviour is considered unsafe, disruptive, abusive, illegal, or inappropriate.
9.3
Participants are financially responsible for any loss, damage, or breakage caused by them during the retreat.
10. Retreat Inclusions, Exclusions and Changes
10.1
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the following are not included in the retreat price:
flights;
visas;
airport transfers outside designated group transfers;
travel insurance;
optional excursions;
spa treatments or massages;
alcoholic beverages;
personal purchases; and
additional accommodation outside retreat dates.
10.2
The Sound Shift reserves the right to make reasonable changes to:
the retreat schedule;
accommodation;
venues;
activities; or
retreat inclusions,
where necessary due to operational requirements or circumstances beyond our control.
11. Retreat Cancellation by The Sound Shift
11.1
The Sound Shift reserves the right to cancel the retreat for any reason including insufficient participant numbers, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
11.2
If The Sound Shift cancels the retreat, participants will be offered either:
a transfer to a future retreat; or
a refund of monies paid to The Sound Shift.
11.3
The Sound Shift shall not be liable for any external costs incurred by participants, including flights, accommodation, visas, insurance, vaccinations, or other travel-related expenses.
12. Discounts and Promotions
12.1
The Sound Shift may offer promotional pricing or discretionary discounts at any time.
12.2
Discounts or promotional offers do not apply retrospectively to existing bookings.
13. Governing Law
13.1
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
13.2
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
